Business Eligibility Payment Issue

What this error means

Your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) has a billing issue that prevents you from sending messages. This is an account-level problem — all outgoing messages will fail until the payment issue is resolved.

Common causes

  • No payment method attached to your WhatsApp Business Account.
  • Your credit line has reached its limit or is inactive.
  • The WABA has been suspended or deleted in Meta Business Manager.
  • Timezone or currency settings are not configured in Meta Business Manager.
  • Messaging On Behalf Of (OBO) permission is pending or was declined.

How to fix

  1. Go to Meta Business Manager > Payment Settings and verify your payment method.
  2. Attach a valid credit card or payment method to the WABA.
  3. Check your credit line balance and increase it if needed.
  4. Ensure your WABA status is active (not suspended or pending review).
  5. Set the correct timezone and currency in your business settings.
  6. If using Messaging OBO, check that the request has been approved by the partner.
